Oregon UAS Accelerator

Trust, Security & Privacy

How the Oregon UAS Accelerator Hub protects the data of applicants, cohort members, mentors, and partners.

This page is maintained by the Oregon UAS Accelerator to answer common security and privacy questions about the Oregon UAS Accelerator Hub. It describes the controls currently in place and is editable program content — it is not a certification and is not independently verified.

Authentication

Who can sign in, and how.

  • Oregon UAS staff sign in with their Oregon UAS Google Workspace accounts, restricted to the organization domain.
  • Cohort members, mentors, and partners sign in with email and password.
  • There is no anonymous access to the staff or member portals — every session is tied to an authenticated account.

Access controls

What signed-in users can see.

  • Access is enforced by role. Staff, mentors, and members each see only the data appropriate to their role.
  • Members and mentors can only view records for the companies and cohorts they are associated with.
  • Access rules are enforced on the server and at the database layer, not only in the browser.

Sensitive information

Extra protection for the most confidential fields.

  • Confidential company details — such as tax identifiers and cap-table information — are restricted to authorized program staff.
  • Pitch scores and voter contact details are not exposed publicly; public-facing views show only aggregated results.

Data handling

Where data lives and what we collect.

  • The Hub collects information you provide through applications, enrollment, reporting, mentor and partner forms, and event registration.
  • Data is stored in a managed cloud backend and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Information is used to operate the accelerator program — reviewing applications, managing cohorts, coordinating mentors and partners, and reporting on outcomes.

Platform & shared responsibility

How responsibilities are split.

  • The Hub is built on the Lovable platform, which provides the underlying hosting, managed database, and authentication infrastructure.
  • The Oregon UAS Accelerator is responsible for how the program uses the Hub: account management, role assignments, data accuracy, and program-specific practices.
  • You are responsible for keeping your own login credentials secure and for the accuracy of information you submit.

Privacy requests & data retention

Your information, your choices.

  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information the program holds about you.
  • Program data is retained for as long as needed to operate the accelerator and meet reporting obligations.
